On Wednesday February 7, 2018 while Center, TX, Letter Carrier Toni Crowley was delivering her route, she noticed that a customer had not picked up his mail for several days who never let it accumulate.   Worried that something may be wrong, Crowley called the office and had her Supervisor call the sheriff’s office to see if they would do a welfare check.  Upon arrival at the residence the Sheriff’s Deputy found that the Customer had experienced a stroke and had been incapacitated for nearly twenty four hours. Emergency Medical Services were called and the customer was transported to the local hospital where he is now recovering.  The family of the customer called the office to thank Crowley for caring for their family member and stated had she not been concerned about him the outcome would have been fatal.
