Good Deed

Sulphur Springs, TX, City Carrier Assistant Shannon Mitchell did a wellness check for an elderly customer on the route that had not picked up his mail for over a week.  She recognized this as a concern because he is usually picks up his mail from the mailbox in a timely manner.  The Carrier took time out of her day to call the local police to have someone check on this customer.  After police performed a wellness check, they were able to find out this customer had been moved to a rehabilitation location.  Mitchell received a #Postal Proud t-shirt for her awareness and thoughtfulness to make sure the resident was okay.
