A message from the District Manager...

As Postal Service employees, we carry with us more than two centuries of admiration and respect.  There are few professionals as trusted as a Postal employee.  The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for the past five consecutive years by the Ponemon Institute.

Our customers place in our hands their treasured heirlooms, photographs, heart-felt letters, holiday and birthday cards, and legal correspondence.  Being a Postal employee also carries with it the responsibility of being known as a good citizen and neighbor.
When a Postal employee is heralded as a hero, every employee can take pride in the accomplishments of one of their own. Unfortunately, when a Postal employee's actions are not consistent with our mission, this reflects negatively on the USPS.  And because the Postal Service is in every community across the country, negative publicity is often carried nationally.

The Dallas District has recently had some very positive publicity on employees who have gone above and beyond to assist customers within their community.  You can read about them in the first few pages of this edition.  When a feature story on a Postal employee appears in a newspaper, magazine, or on TV news, the fact that the person works for USPS is often mentioned.  This isn't done as often with other professionals.  We can all be #PostalProud of the way in which these Postal professionals represented us.

It's important that we take pride in ourselves and our company - on and off the job – because we all are the United States Postal Service to the customers we serve.
