Dear
Sulphur Springs Post Office,
Twenty
six years ago while in the sands of Saudi Arabia, mail call for myself and my
platoon made the difference between life and death. Now in 2017, y ’all are again making the
difference between life and death. This
time it is for my family and friends in Puerto Rico. While UPS, FedEx and even FEMA are dropping
the ball, y ‘all are running with it.
That
whole motto about getting the mail through rain and sleet and snow is not just
a saying, it’s a reality. The packages
I’m bringing to you here in Sulphur Springs are arriving in less than a week to
a tiny village in Puerto Rico. That
village is no bigger than Como, Texas.
Even though virtually the entire village was destroyed (even my own
house) and left with no electricity, rain still coming down for an hour or so
every day and brown water coming out of the tap. Y ‘all are getting the job done and again
saving lives.
There
are many unsung heroes in this world.
You all count as such. You may
think that you’re just doing your job but know that it’s making a difference.
Please
accept my most heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for a job well done.
Sincerely,
Satisfied
Customer
