Prosper, TX, Letter Carrier
Robert Hunter (left) was recognized by Postmaster Jim Spradley (right) for
assisting an 89 year old elderly gentleman on his route. Hunter went to the door to deliver a package when
the housekeeper advised him the gentleman was in his garage and couldn’t get up.
A big plane of glass had fallen on the man when he got out of his car and
fractured his leg on both sides. This
happened in late June and the outcome could have been fatal if Hunter was not
there to assist. He was able to get the
man inside and made calls to 911 and the man’s wife. The wife came to the Post Office to
personally thank the Carrier. Hunter
received a gift card and a postal proud t-shirt.
