Sharing the
Cheer with Others
Volunteering
during the holidays (and any other time of the year) can be a great way to
share good cheer with others. While you may be stressing over holiday
preparations and extra work, others are stressing over where to find their next
meal. And, volunteering and giving is not without its rewards. Most people feel
a sense of accomplishment, joy, and satisfaction knowing that they selflessly
helped someone else, even a complete stranger. So, find a way to share the
cheer with others this holiday season. It may be volunteering at a local food
bank, maybe it is cleaning out closets and toy boxes to donate to a local
shelter, or it could be volunteering to bring some holiday cheer to a nursing
home.
However you choose to do it, share your good fortune with
others. Get your entire family involved in the effort and make it a holiday
tradition. You will probably find that bringing a little bit of happiness to
someone else will put a big smile on your own face.
