Customer Compliment

McKinney, TX, Letter Carrier Ronnie Almendarez (center) was presented a Certificate of Appreciation from Manager, Post Office Operations Dan Carleen (front row, far left) Officer In Charge Clarence Henderson (front row, far right) Supervisors, Customer Services Marq Hoil (second left), Justin O’Neal (second row, right) and Gerald Hamilton (front row, second right) for a customer compliment.

To Whom It May Concern,

I just wanted to take a moment and let you know about one of your Letter Carriers, who for years was my parent’s main Mailman.

My parents were both handicapped, my father went completely blind and my mother had lost her leg due to a blood clot.  Their mailman, once he realized this (on his own), began taking more time when he needed to deliver anything to the door.  He didn’t just knock and run, he gave my mom time to actually get to the door.

My parents have both passed on now, and he still is taking the time to stop and answer my questions regarding how to proceed with my parent’s mail.  He left a short note in my mailbox, the day after I asked him a question with instructions of how to go online and put in for a change of address.

I don’t know his last name but he signed his note Mailman Ronnie.  My parents address was on Truman Street, in McKinney.  I just wanted you to know that in today’s world where people seldom take any of their own time to be courteous or go the extra mile; that Ronnie does.

Sincerely,

Melody Collins
