Invitation Letter
Suicide is a topic that is
often difficult to talk about. However, not talking about it doesn’t make it go
away nor does talking about it give the idea to someone to contemplate,
attempt, or complete suicide. Talking about it helps to reduce the stigma
around getting help, empowers people to overcome their struggles, and can help
to save a life.
The EAP in your district is
preparing to run an ePromotion called, “It’s Time to Talk: Empowerment Starts
with You.” This ePromotion will focus on suicide awareness and prevention and
give you steps you can take to help someone you are concerned about.
An ePromotion allows the EAP
to send you periodic emails sharing brief information to help you actively engage
in the topic. The EAP invites you to “sign up” and agree that you would like to
participate by sending us an email or responding to this invitation.
In the ePromotion, you will
receive emails on Tuesdays and Thursdays over the next 4 weeks.
Your participation is
strictly confidential. You can use your postal or home email address. Please
feel free to share with your co-workers and family members and encourage them
to sign up as well. This ePromotion is designed to bring some awareness and
guidance to you if you or a loved one is having thoughts of
suicide.
If you would like more
information or to sign up, please contact Terri Sitrin, EAP Consultant,
214-353-6996.

If you have a concern related to suspicious, illegal or unethical activity, you may also report it by calling MAGELLAN'S COMPLIANCE HOTLINE, 24 hours per day/7days a week, at 1-800-915-2108. When calling, you may choose to remain anonymous, as an outside vendor manages the incoming calls. All calls will be treated confidentially and investigated.
