Carrollton, TX, Main Post Office (MPO) Postmaster Darwin Adams (above) recently helped a company that specializes in ecommerce fulfillment, warehouse, kitting rework and display pack out solutions for consumer retail brands. Adams used the Employee Engagement program Submit A Lead to provide contact information to Business Development Specialist Jenny Yoo. Yoo teamed with Senior Field Sales Representative Ron Williams and contacted the customer. The customer wanted cost saving shipping and to increase profitability. Thanks to his professionalism and generosity to his customers Adams was able to recognize an opportunity to help a customer and get them into the right hands. This sale will generate more than $54,024 of estimated annualized revenue for the USPS. He continues to engage customers at his Post Office to identify new businesses and generate revenue.

He was assisting a nonprofit Black Trans Advocacy Coalition. The agency ships care packages to those in the community that are suffering from COVID. After learning that the customer was interested in saving on shipping costs, Adams submitted a lead through Business Connect, a program for Postmasters, Managers and Supervisors to pass on sales leads to the USPS Sales team. Business Development Specialist Jenny Yoo and Senior Field Representative Ron Williams followed up with the customer. They were able to close a shipping deal for $57,600 in new estimated annualized revenue.
