TX, Farmers Branch Station Manager, Customer Services Vanya Johnson (far right,

customers. Johnson remarked, “I’m proud
to be Manager of the Farmers Branch Station.
Although this station in not perfect, my employees are striving to be
the best in the city of Dallas.”

Irving,
TX, Central Station Retail Associate Rashida Hernandez (right) received a Gold
Star Award from A/Manager Customer Services Denean Pankins (left) for a perfect
score on a Retail Customer Experience.
Hernandez is a team player and a people person who enjoys the friendly
interaction with the great customers of this Post Office. She commented, “We have a good team here who
work well together to serve our customers in a timely fashion.” Hernandez comes from a big family which she
credits with her abilities to interact with many different types of people and
personalities.
Irving,
TX, Las Colinas Station Retail Associate Horace Williams displayed his third
and fourth Gold Star Awards for perfect transactions on Retail Customer
Experiences. He has worked for the
Postal Service for 31 years and is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Williams takes pleasure in educating his
customers on Postal Products. He
remarked, “My wife Jo-Anne works in the Passports department at the Irving Main
Station and I’m proud of her exceptional work.”

the achievements made by black Americans and recognized the central role of
African Americans in U.S. history.
Lindale, TX, Rural Carrier Johnny
G. Johnson has retired effective March 1, 2017. He has nearly 40 years
with the Postal Service. Johnson started his career as a RCA in Lindale in
June, 1977. He was promoted to a regular Carrier in 1980.
Johnson carried mail for 40 years and never had an accident.
He will be receiving a Million Mile Award for that rare achievement. Johnson is married to his wife Cari and has
three children and three grandchildren. When asked what he was going to
do now that he is retired, Johnson replied, “I now have the time to devote to my
garden, farm, fishing and raising my dogs. I will miss the daily
interaction with my customers and the pleasure of providing customer service.” Postmaster Kathy Downing remarked, “We will
all miss Johnny’s outgoing personality and big smile. He will be hard to
replace!”
