Gilmer, TX, Rural Carrier Associate Xyclone Brown (above) received a customer compliment.
Picture
Brown was off duty when he came to pick up his mail at the Post Office.  An elderly woman and her special needs daughter had driven off the road and into a ditch.  He quickly got them out of the car and tried to pull the vehicle out of the ditch, but it didn’t work.  Brown called a tow truck and helped them get the truck out of the ditch.  The vehicle couldn’t be driven.  So, he offered to drive them home.  The ordeal lasted three hours.  He was patient, concerned and eagerly helping the entire time.  Since they had limited funds, Brown helped pay for the tow truck charges.  He is a U.S. Air Force veteran who went above and beyond to help a mother and daughter in need.
