Dallas District Human Resources Generalist (Principal) Wylita Hooks (center) received a Special Achievement Award from Southern Area, Manager, Human Resources Mangala Gandhi (left) and Southern Area, Human Resources Analyst Denise Cannon (right).
The Award was a result of her key role in a special project for the Southern Area. She was asked to report to Houston HR Local Services District to assist her colleagues with their hiring processes. After she arrived and reviewed their processes, she determined that they didn’t have processes in place to eliminate the mass pay adjustments that were being submitted each pay period. She shared hiring tips and best practices and assisted with establishing processes and timelines. Those processes allowed Houston HR to work smarter and eliminate waste (resources, time, money, etc.).
As a result of the training, field managers, field hiring liaisons were trained, provided policies governing hiring practices and equipped to position Houston District Local Services for success.
