Dallas,
TX, Lake Highlands Station Letter Carrier Shannon Garrett (above) received a
customer compliment for going above and beyond his daily carrier duties. He encountered an elderly lady who was crying
on her porch while delivering mail on his route. When Garrett asked if she was ok, the lady
said something was wrong with her brother.
He went inside her house to assist her and found the brother was
deceased. Garrett called Emergency
Medical Services and sat with her until they arrived.
