Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certifications

The Operations Industrial Engineer (OIE) Office awarded the first group of North Texas P&DC employees (EAS & Safety Captains) their certification as Yellow Belts in the Lean Six Sigma program.  The Yellow Belt recipients who received the training actively support North Texas Mail Processing improvement projects to gain meaningful results.  The North Texas OIE staff appreciates these employees for their contributions and the day-to-day involvement in keeping the Lean Mail Processing (LMP) momentum going with daily continuous improvement.

North Texas, Processing & Distribution Center Mail Handlers (left to right) Macario Veyna, Dadrayll Ross, Zacachary Smith, Angela Gutierrez, Andrew Stone & Judy Thompson were recognized for their hard work during the holiday season.

Two Automation Crews from Tour II processed over 300,000 pcs of mail by 2:30 p.m. recently.  In order to do this, both crews consistently sustained 35k pieces of mail worked for over seven hours straight.

Not only are the employees committed to improve service in NTX and are Postal Proud, but Supervisor Terrance Faulkner has engaged other Tour II automation employees to meet the 300k challenge.  The competition is on!
 

A Salute to Veterans

Tyler, TX, Postmaster and Veteran Falonda Woods (far right) presented a Veteran Pin, Lanyard, and letter from PMG Brennan in honor of their military service to the employees of Tyler Main Station.

Talburt (second left) received his 30-year Service Award and Maintenance Mechanic Ted Lewis (center) received his 35-year Service Award from Postmaster Veronica Johnson (far right) and Supervisors, Customer Services Tonya Chambers (far left) and Phyllis Andrews (second right).
 
Building Equipment Mechanic Wendell R. Talburt enjoys traveling to various places and fixing different machines.  He is a U.S. Air Force Veteran of ten years.  Maintenance Mechanic Ted Lewis takes pride in making sure everything is running smoothly and that the mail is delivered on time.  Lewis is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Plano Certificates of Appreciation

Addison, TX, Post Office Retail Associate Joy Noderer (left) received a Gold Star Award from Postmaster Alicia Soliz (right) for a perfect transaction on a recent Retail Customer Experience.
 
Addison Retail Associate Joy Noderer has worked for the Post Office for 18 years and is a 20-year U.S. Air Force Veteran.  She recently received a Gold Star Award for providing outstanding customer service.  Noderer enjoys interacting and providing excellent service to her customers.  She commented, “I like working with a great team.”
