Jacksonville Safe Driver Awards


The Jacksonville, Texas, Post Office recently celebrated over 373 years of safe driving.  Cake and punch were served to show appreciation for a continuous record of safe conscientious driving habits exhibited by the city and rural carriers going about daily activities on their routes.  In all, 22 employees were recognized for their efforts of doing their duties in a safe manner year in and year out. All awards were presented by Manager, Post Office Operations Randall Joines (right) and Jacksonville Postmaster Keith Youngblood (left) when pictured.

Letter Carrier Jimmy Dingler (center) was presented his Million Mile Safe Driver Award for over 30 years of safe driving.

Letter Carrier Stacy Munn (center) received his Million Mile Safe Driver Award for over 30 years of safe driving.

Letter Carrier Larry Renfro (center) was presented his 28-year Safe Driver Certificate.
Letter Carrier Deborah Ragsdale (center) received her 19-year Safe Driver Certificate.

North Texas, Processing & Distribution Center Custodian Ron Byland celebrates his retirement after 23 years of loyal service to the USPS.  He is 80 years old and a U.S. Army veteran.  Byland enjoyed his job very much.  He joked, “I’m going to miss many of the people I was fortunate enough to work with out here.  The others, not so much.”  Union Steward Kim Erving commented, “I can’t recall Byland ever calling in sick. We will miss seeing him each day.”
