A message from the District Manager Scott Hooper

Highlighting Our Business Customers This week marks National Postal Customer Council (PCC) Week, where we take time to recognize and appreciate the partnership between our organization and business mailers. PCC week provides local PCC audiences (businesses, non-profits, colleges/universities, mail service providers, printers, etc.) the opportunity to hear from and interact with Postal officers and executives. Each of us, no matter what job we perform, has a stake in the success of the PCCs. When you provide the best possible service, you help build our business and strengthen the partnership with our PCC members. Don’t stop there, though. I encourage all employees to take time and become familiar with all the products and services we provide. Submit a lead through one of our Employee Engagement Programs, like Clerks Care, Customer Connect, Business Connect, Rural Reach. We also recently launched our newest same-day local delivery service, Connect Local, here in the Texas 1 district. It’s our responsibility to grow the business by actively engaging customers and finding new sources of revenue. And remember that doing the simple things also grows the business, whether it’s being courteous on the phone, providing friendly service at retail and BME counters, accurately sorting mail and packages, properly scanning and handling packages, and delivering in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. If we don’t take care of our customers, someone else will. Our business mailers – in fact, every customer – deserves our best effort every day. As we take time to celebrate PCC Week, let’s be sure to continue providing superior service every week of the year. Thank you for helping serve not just our business customers, but all of our customers.
